2008-2009 CSU/EDISON TRANSFER SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
To apply to the CSU/Edison Transfer Scholarship please submit the following in
one envelope:
1. Application
A complete application including a separate sheet with answers to the
final two questions on the application.
2. Transcripts
Submit an official or unofficial copy from all colleges attended. We
must receive a transcript for the application to be considered complete.
Helpful Hints for the completion of the scholarship application:
Make sure to complete all sections of the form. Incomplete applications
will not be considered.
Responses should be neat and complete. Please type or print answers.
Grammar and spelling should be checked for accuracy.
If appropriate, make sure to file your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal
Student Aid) form prior to submitting this application. You do not need a
FAFSA on file to receive the award.
Scholarship Criteria: Eligible students must have attended a community college
in the Southern California Edison Service Area and transfer to CSUF in Spring
2008 or Fall 2008. This scholarship is open to students majoring in:
mathematics, physics, chemistry, geology, engineering (civil, electrical,
computer, chemical or mechanical), ecological biology, technology, materials
science, or computer science/information systems. (Students going into health
professions/pre-medicine are not eligible)
Students also must have earned a minimum 2.0 GPA at their community college and
maintain at least a 2.0 CSUF and cumulative GPA throughout the duration of the
scholarship in addition to maintaining full time enrollment.
Preference will be given to students with financial need, first generation
college students, and students who participate in community service or
volunteer activities.
The CSU/Edison packet should be submitted to the address below and postmarked
on or before Thursday, May 1, 2008. This application may also be delivered to
McCarthy Hall 488.
