ASBDC 2008 Annual Conference registration fee includes Wednesday Opening Luncheon and Welcome
Reception; Thursday General Session Luncheon, and Friday evening Closing Banquet; admittance to the Exhibit
Hall; and most workshops/seminars.

There are a number of programs which due to the nature of the training, shipment of materials, seating
requirements and/or additional registration fees require PRE-REGISTRATION. These programs are by no
means the ONLY workshop programs being conducted at the Annual Conference. There are over 120

NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional EXAM
In partnership with NASBITE, the ASBDC Annual Conference will again be an official site for the
NASBITECGBPTM exam in Chicago. Those desiring to take the exam in Chicago must register with NASBITE.
There is a $295 examination fee due at the time of application. This fee is refundable if a candidate
notifies NASBITE at least 10 calendar days prior to the examination date. There is also a $50 registration fee to
apply for the CGBP exam. This is non-refundable fee and will be charged when you register and sign up for the
NASBITECGBPTM exam.

lecture and hands-on participation, with participants being encouraged to bring their laptops for the hands-

reviewed and key tasks associated with getting started will be taught for each. Following the lecture portion for
each product, students will complete hands-on exercises. This course is designed for people NOT already

Participants will learn proper delivery format and best practices for successful delivery of FastTrac® Listening to
Your Business, a hands-on, facilitated workshop designed to provide entrepreneurs and business managers with
the critical evaluation tools and action steps they need to maximize the growth and profitability of their

QuickBooks ProAdvisors and SBDC trainers available to share their product knowledge and answer your burning
QuickBooks questions. This is not a structured lecture style course but an in-depth discussion into more
advanced QuickBooks topics. The session will also include a brief overview of the new QuickBooks 2009.
Prerequisite: In order to attend this session you must be training on QuickBooks, have previously trained clients
on QuickBooks or have in-depth knowledge of using QuickBooks.

    1) FastTrac® NewVentureTM and FastTrac® GrowthVentureTM
    FastTrac® NewVentureTM helps aspiring and start-up entrepreneurs determine the viability of their
    business concept and develop a start-up business plan. The program's non-traditional, peer-to-peer learning
    environment provides hands-on coaching sessions, networking opportunities, and skill development.
    FastTrac® GrowthVentureTM enables established entrepreneurs to evaluate and implement key strategies
    resulting in transforming and improving the performance of their business. The program's peer-to-peer
    learning environment provides tools to increase the entrepreneur's skills, knowledge, and networks
    needed to develop and implement their business's strategic growth plan.

    2) FastTrac® TechVentureTM
    FastTrac® TechVentureTM guides technology and life science entrepreneurs in moving their innovation from
    concept to market and preparing to communicate with equity-investors. The peer-to-peer learning
    environment provides practical, hands-on tools needed to start a business or strategically grow a business.
    SBTDCs dedicated to serving high growth, technology-based companies are ideal organizations to deliver
    this program. Successful program providers are typically located in communities with an established
    technology infrastructure, including venture capitalists, angel investors, research universities, large
    technology corporations, IP attorneys, and/or government technology initiatives. Persons seeking facilitator
    certification must have experience working with high growth, technology companies.
PRE-REGISTRATION BY JULY 18, 2008 IS REQUIRED FOR BOTH PROGRAMS; MATERIALS FEE OF
$325.00 PAYABLE IN ADVANCE. This is Day One of a two-day certification program. You will automatically be
