                                FTP SITE INFORMATION
                                WHAT IS FTP?
FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a way of transferring files over the
internet directly from one computer to another (direct connection).

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF FTP?
Most email services limit the size of messages you can send. Also, the
person receiving the message will likely have a size limit to their mailbox. If your files are
too large, they will not go through. FTP transfers allow direct connection
to our FTP server. Therefore, much larger files can be transferred. The FTP server can
hold as much data as the hard disk permits.

                                HOW DO YOU USE FTP?
You can use FTP software such as Fetch 3.0.3 (or Fetch 4.0, available at:
http://www.fetchsoftworks.com) for Mac or CuteFTP for Windows. Read the
instructions that come with your choice of software.

                                OUR CONNECTION INFO:
You will need to enter the following information in the fields your software
                                will provide:

                                · FTP server address (host): ftp.pacificbasin.net
                                · Port: 21
                                · User ID: client
                                · Password: 2upload
                                · Select the folder "Dropbox"
                                · Place your files in the appropriate folder

You may need to select the "use passive transfers" or "PASV mode" option in your FTP
MAGAZINE software as our server is behind a firewall.

PLEASE STUFF ALL FILES WHEN SENDING TO OUR FTP SITE:
Please put all the files you are sending in a folder and stuff the folder using
Stuffit Deluxe software. Unstuffed files like Quark XPress,
Illustrator, Photoshop and especially fonts often get corrupted when
transferred over the internet. Stuffing them encapsulates them inside Web
native file structures giving better results and shortening transfer times.

PLEASE NOTIFY US THAT THE FILES HAVE BEEN SENT:
The FTP Site is a remote server. We will not know you put a file there
unless you notify us via email. Please notify the Production department
