HAUPPAUGE, NY ­ October 14, 2005 - Hauppauge Digital, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAUP), a
leading developer and manufacturer of TV receiver products for personal computers, today
announced three new TV upgrade products for Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition
2005. These new products are designed to add TV capabilities to PCs running Windows XP
Media Center Edition 2005 that are sold without built-in TV tuners or the Media Center
remote control.

The new upgrade kits are based on Hauppauge's popular WinTV-PVR and WinTV-HVR
series. The WinTV-PVR-150 is the best selling single tuner hardware MPEG encoder for
Media Center, while the WinTV-PVR-500 is the best selling dual tuner hardware MPEG
encoder for Media Center.

For the European market, Hauppauge is introducing the WinTV-HVR-1300 MCE-Kit, a hybrid
analog and digital TV receiver. Europe uses a mix of analog and digital TV, and the WinTV-
HVR-1300 satisfies both markets by combining the TV tuner plus hardware MPEG encoder
from the WinTV-PVR-150, with a DVB-T digital TV receiver, all on one PCI board.

AVAILABILITY

The WinTV-PVR-150 MCE-Kit will be available from Best Buy, Circuit City and CompUSA
starting October 14, 2005. The WinTV-PVR-500 MCE-Kit is currently available from online e-
tailers. For Europe, the hybrid analog and digital TV receiver, the WinTV-HVR-1300 MCE-
Kit, will be available starting October 14, 2005 at MediaMart in Germany and Dixons in the
UK.
