Abstract
This instruction advises you how to prepare the abstract submitted to JAPAN Nano 2007. The Nanotechnology
Researchers Network Center of Japan, MEXT, organizes the 5th International Symposium on Nanotechnology (JAPAN
NANO 2007) on February 20 (Tue) and 21 (Wed), 2007 at Tokyo Big Sight (Ariake, Tokyo). JAPAN NANO 2007 will be
held as a part of NANO WEEK 2007, the most important event on nanotechnology in Japan and it features the
international conference on state-of-the-art nano science and technology, presented by world top-class speakers including
Nobel Prize laureates. The sessions consist of plenary lecture, nano-biology, nano-physics, nano-IT device, and
nano-materials.
I. INTRODUCTION
The abstract is limited to two pages (A4) including figures, tables and references.
Abstract should be typed in 255mm x 165mm, margins should be set with
22.5mm for the top and the bottom and 21mm for the right and the left. The title
should be typed in 14pt Bold Times font at the top on the first page. On the
second line, authors' names should be typed in 12pt Bold Times font, and to be
followed by affiliations of authors and addresses in 12pt Times font.
II. MAIN TEXT
Main text should be typed in 11pt Times font in single column and single line
spacing. One can use section titled with 12pt Bold font such as I. Section2, II.
Section1,.... References, quoted in the main text should be numbered in order of
quoting. And the list of the references should be placed in the end of the abstract1.
III. FIGURES AND TABLES
Figures and Tables should be embedded in the main text with captions. Please pay
the careful attention to make all figures and photographs distinctly visible. If not,
the unclear visual materials may effect negative in the examination by our program Fig. 1
committee. All figures and tables should be respectively numbered in order of NANO is the top performer of
