                                         2005--2006
Here is a timetable/checklist for May Project. Please consult it as you go through the process. Pay special
attention to DEADLINES. They will be strictly followed. May Service Projects have a slightly different
schedule; consult Ms. Gauntner for details.

Oct. 24th                               May Project Kick-Off
                                        Begin thinking about your advisor and prospective sponsor(s)

Week of Nov. 14th                       Meeting to discuss ideas (informal)

Week of Nov. 28th                       Proposal development workshops

December-Feb. 10th, 2006                Work on proposal (discuss ideas with your faculty advisor and sponsor)

Week of Dec. 12th                       Proposal writing workshops

Jan. 13th                               Advisor agreement form due (FORM B)

Feb. 10th                             May Project proposal due (including FORMS A, C, D, E)

Feb. 13th-28th                          Readers' Committee reviews proposals

March 1st-3rd                           Readers' Committee meets to discuss proposals

March 6th                               Proposals returned to seniors with comments and suggestions

March 6th -31st                       Revise proposals as needed

April 3rd                               Return revised proposals to the May Project Coordinator (end of day)

April 3rd-12th                         Readers review revised proposals

April 13th-14th                       Readers' Committee meets to discuss revisions, make final decisions

April 17th                              Proposals can be picked up from May Project Coordinator

April 17th-May 5th                      Make final preparations for May Project, including obtaining final eligibility and
                                        library clearance; turn in Eligibility form by April 28nd.

May 8th-May 19th                        AP Exams (PLAN AHEAD!!)

May 8th-June 2nd                        May Project

Week of May 29th                        Presentation workshops

May 31st-June 2nd                       May Project presentations in Lab Schools classrooms

June 1st                                May Project exhibition in Judd 126. (Setup by 8AM)
                                        Evening Exhibition, 7-9 pm; takedown immediately following

June 2nd                                Seniors turn in written self-review

June 5th                                May Project Advisors turn in project review
