                          NOTICE OF THE EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING

Notice is hereby given that an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) of the Persatuan Pencinta Alam Malaysia
(Malaysian Nature Society) will be held at Hotel Seri Malaysia, Ayer Keroh, Melaka on Sunday, 24 August
2008 at 10.30am for the following purpose:-

1. To consider and if thought fit, to pass the following resolution:-

Change in MNS Rules & Regulations Clause 26 (a)

Ordinary Members, Family Members, Student Members, Corporate Members and Institutional Members shall

                      NOTICE OF THE EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING


Notes:

1. Under Clause 26 (b), Council shall have the authority to revise any membership rates based on prevailing
currency exchanges, postage and handling fees except in the categories of ordinary, student and family
membership receiving the Malaysian Naturalist only, which can only be amended in pursuant to clause 75 of the
Constitution.

Any proposed changes to the Corporate and Institutional membership rates will be decided by Council and not
at an EGM of the Society.

2. No member shall be entitled to vote at any meeting unless all subscription due by him to the Society in
respect of the year in which the meeting is held have been paid in full not less than one week prior to the
meeting.

3. Any member who is unable to attend the Extraordinary General Meeting may vote by sending to the
"Honorary Secretary" at Malaysian Nature Society JKR 641 Jalan Kelantan, Bukit Persekutuan, 50480 Kuala
Lumpur a written proxy to record his vote for or against any resolution of which due notice has been given. The
proxy shall only be effective if received by the Secretary no later than Thursday, 21 August 2008.

4. Proof of postage is not proof of receipt of your proxy form.

5. The proposed resolution to amend clause 26 (a) if passed, will be required to be submitted to the Registrar of
Societies (ROS) for approval before it comes into effect.
