Golden ShellbackTM is an effective, unique coating process that protects critical operational equipment from
damage caused by exposure to moisture, immersion in water, dust, effects of high wind and chemicals.

Overview
   · Northeast Maritime Institute, Inc. (NMI), has developed a unique coating process, Golden ShellbackTM for
use in the commercial marine, recreational boating, military (aerospace and defense), industrial and
       medical industries.
   · The coating process is specifically designed to protect devices commonly used in marine and hazardous
environments against operational malfunction caused by exposure to moisture, immersion in water, dust,
effects of high wind and chemicals.
   · Any solid surface can be coated, including metal, wood, plastic, paper and textiles.
   · The environmentally-sound process involves applying a uniform, thin layer of coating, ranging in thickness
from microns to mils. The final product is inert and weather-resistant and splash-proof.
   · Commercial off-the-shelf products can be coated. Units can be new or already in service.
   · Sample applications include: electronics equipment, such as cell phones, radios, circuit boards and
       speakers; equipment used in ocean and space exploration; hazardous waste transportation equipment;
medical instruments; paper products; and textiles.
   · The cost-saving technology provides favorable economic returns by enhancing the survivability and
sustainability of operational equipment and high value specialty products susceptible to corrosion and
degradation. Cost per unit coated is not prohibitive.
   · The process aids in getting the heat out of electronics components compared to standard processes that
       block the thermal path.
   · The technology is designed to meet the requirements of MIL-PRF-38534 and MIL-PRF-38535.
   · Prototypes have been tested and are ready for near-immediate transition to production.
   · Application can be accomplished in small footprint facilities at forward locations or in CONUS at point of
origin prior to shipment or at NMI. Remotely located application facilities can be quickly established and
       up and running
   · This coating material is classified as a plastic. It is inert and does not react with skin.
   · Any resulting waste product generated in the coating process can be disposed of as trash and is not
       classified as hazardous.
