The pictoplasma characters in motion animation festival is an integral part of the biannual pictoplasma conference on contemporary character design and
art. The cultural screenings are organized by pictoplasma and offer festival visitors and conference participants an overview of international animations,
short films and motion graphics, focussing on stylish and fresh character-driven visuals and narratives.
· All entries which meet the criteria and are true to the spirit of pictoplasma are collected in the video archive in the festival's central media/video lounge
where they can be accessed by all visitors. Excerpts from the films may also be screened at selected conference locations.
· Additionally, all films submitted are viewed by a jury panel, which selects outstanding submissions for enclosure in the specially curated screening pro-
grams, open to the public as well as conference visitors.

How to enter
There is no submission fee for the pictoplasma animation festival.
For final screening, only Beta SP PAL or uncompressed Quicktimes (.mov or .avi, in full PAL or NTSC resolution) will be accepted.
Authored DVD's will be considered for pre-selection only. Each submitted film/animation must be accompanied by a completed entry form.

Rules & Regulations
· Documents, tapes, DVDs, CD-ROMs, photos or any other material submitted will not be returned and will remain in the property of pictoplasma, as part
of its international design & animation archives. Our aim is to promote the works in other festivals, shows and non-profit cultural activities, in Germany
and abroad.
· For this purpose the artist / license holder herewith licenses to pictoplasma the public and non-public exhibition right to use and screen the work in the
animation festival screening program, in the video archive, selected conference locations and curated screening programs.
· The artist / license holder's rights to the work remain completely unaffected, especially the right to reproduce and distribute or otherwise make use of
it. Pictoplasma solely asks for the right to include the material in its animation screening program. Pictoplasma is committed to clearly indicate which
artists are responsible for the films shown.
· Submission of the material grants pictoplasma the right to show up to 10% of the running time of the production
(maximum of three minutes) for promotional purposes on TV.
