PROGRAM STRUCTURE

The two-and-a-half-day workshop will include ~20 invited presentations from leading
nanotube experts relating to measurement of nanotube purity and dispersion quality. A
mini-session will also be included on isolated tube measurements, an area which NASA
and NIST feel is critical for nanotube applications in electronics and biotechnology. We
anticipate this latter topic may spark interest in a future meeting specific to separation,
isolation, and characterization of individual nanotubes.
Keynote addresses for the workshop will be given on the morning of day 1:
Professor Robert Haddon, University of California, Riverside
James Von Ehr II, CEO, Zyvex Corporation

On the first evening of the workshop, a reception will be held during which time posters,
representing work from NASA, NIST, and other organizations, will be presented.
Contributions to this poster session are welcome from all participants.
Breakout sessions will be held during the afternoon of both day 1 and day 2, to allow for
more in-depth discussion of both purity and dispersion measurement. We view these
breakout sessions as the "hard work" of the workshop --- getting to the heart of the
critical measurement issues. Please come prepared for spirited technical discussions!
