PROGRAM SYLLABUS -- LIVE PRESENTATION

Saturday, January 21 (Day 1) -- 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.:

      Introduction to the California Bar Exam: The introduction will cover
the day-to-day format of the bar exam and how each section is weighted and
graded.

      Substantive Review: A substantive review of the black letter law of
Evidence by Professor Victor Gold.

Sunday, January 22 (Day 2) -- 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.:

       Performance Test Workshop: A lecture on the Performance Test
technique by Peter Jan Honigsberg, professor at University of San Francisco
School of Law, who helped create the performance test for California.
Following the lecture, students will apply the technique to an actual past
California Bar Exam Performance Test.          After the exercise, Professor
Honigsberg will walk through and highlight aspects of the test.            The
afternoon will end with students writing another actual California Bar Exam
Performance Test. This test will be turned in by the students for grading.

Saturday, January 28 (Day 3) -- 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.:

       Multistate Bar Exam & Analysis: A 50 question Evidence multistate
exam will be given under California Bar Exam timing conditions. Following
the exam, each and every question will be reviewed by Professor Stan
Goldman. Professor Goldman will provide substantive review and strategies
for the multistate questions.

Sunday, January 29 (Day 4) -- 9:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.:

      Preparing for the Bar Exam: Al Jenkins, Esq., Independent California
Bar Exam Tutor, will discuss strategies for success on the bar exam.

       Essay Writing Workshop:       A review of essay writing techniques
specifically tailored for California Bar Exam essays by Essay Workshop
Lecturer, Richard Sakai. Mr. Sakai is a professor at University of San
Francisco and Hastings School of Law. Students will apply the writing
techniques to hypotheticals after which a full explanation of the answers will
be given. The afternoon will end with students writing an exam under
California Bar Exam timing conditions. The exam will be turned in by the
students for grading.
