CA L L FOR ENTRI E S:
Steal This Art Show, is a photography exhibition based on the interpretation of works of art that
have been stolen from museums, galleries and other institutions. The act of stealing infamous
art is considerably different from other types of theft. Most notably, there is a cloak of secrecy
that the thief acquires, along with the work of a master. Further, most art theft happens from
unprotected or poorly protected institutions, like museums.
For Steal This Art Show, artists are asked to recreate a stolen piece of art and hang it in the
gallery with of safety system that prevents it from being stolen incorporated into the piece or
installation. During the opening Mint gallery will provide gallery security because the audience is
encouraged to steal the exhibited works.
Steal This Art Show! Is in conjunction with Atlanta Celebrates Photography, therefore
photography is the main medium of the exhibition. All submitted pieces should include
photography is some way.

 Each artist should keep in mind that their piece has the potential to be stolen, so the artist may
include some kind of safety system that prevents it from being stolen.

Proposal format. Please include detailed description of installation, images if necessary, name of
work and artist you are recreating.
List of art stolen available from www.clickclique.org look for "Steal This Art Show" tab or you
may select your own unmentioned work.
Entries can be submitted via email: click_clique@yahoo.com or via CD through the mail.

No entry fee required, but accepted artist will be asked to donate up to $20 for exhibition
production.

Accepted Works Due: Drop off at Mint Gallery from 2-5pm Sunday September 28 th, 2008
Exhibition Opens: October 4 th, 2008
Exhibition Closes: October 25 th, 2008
Pick Up: Monday October 27 th, 2008 from 2-5 pm

FINA L ACCE P T ANCE:
Final acceptance of entries in the The Mint Gallery exhibition is up to the Curator's discretion
after viewing the delivered finished works. If a print does not match the appearance of the JPEG
entry, or if the print quality or the hanging are not suitable quality for gallery presentation, the
Curator may ask the artist to replace whichever element is not suitable.

SALES:
Mint Gallery takes 30 % of retail sales.

U S E O F IMAG E S:
All entrants agree that any image they submit to Click Clique and Mint Gallery may be used for
marketing and promotional purposes directly related to Click Clique and Mint Gallery. This use
may include publication in any Click Clique and Mint Gallery publications, printed materials,
advertisements, or electronic media, including but not limited to Click Clique and Mint Gallery
web sites, catalog, DVD, magazine, and gallery shows. Any image used by Click Clique and Mint
Gallery shall carry a credit line of the artist. Copyright and all other rights remain that of the
artist.
