Security
Anyone who is responsible for a private network (such as a LAN or WAN) and has
connectivity to a public network (such as the Internet) needs protection. Whether it's a single
computer connecting to the Internet, or a corporation with multiple computers networked
together, protecting your network against attacks from malicious intruders is as critical as
safely opening the doors for business in the morning. Maintaining security demands for
everything from dial-up connections to complex corporate LANs / WANs has become an
important concern as the Internet has evolved.

Today, the necessity for trustworthy Internet security is as critical a business need as any.
According to FBI statistics two years ago, 30% of United States companies reported hackers
had broken into their computer networks: too many companies remain inadequately
protected, and Security gaps exist and information security is not afforded the priority it
deserves. Non-technical business executives underestimate the risks associated with faulty
propriety information security, and many businesses rely on shoddy security practices to
fortify their online business capital.

Firewalls A Firewall is a TCP/IP-based network access control device. It provides protection to a customer's secure network by checking all data
entering -- or leaving -- the protected network. A Firewall is implemented as a barrier to prevent unauthorized traffic from crossing one segment to
another, while permitting authorized traffic to traverse the network unhindered.

There are three types of Firewall packages available from PenTeleData: a Managed and Monitored Firewall; a Managed Firewall and an
Unmanaged Firewall. A Managed Firewall allows clients to focus on their core business while PenTeleData focuses on ours: Ensuring Network
Security.

Managed and Monitored Firewall With a Managed and Monitored Firewall, PenTeleData manages the operation of the Firewall, ensuring the
operability of the Firewall and the security of your network. PenTeleData also monitors all traffic denied by the firewall, watching for possible
network attacks or attempts to compromise the security of your network. If PenTeleData detects an attack or an attempt to compromise your
network, we alert you immediately.

Managed Firewall With a PenTeleData Managed Firewall, we manage the operation of the Firewall, ensuring the operability of the Firewall and
the security of your network. With the Managed Firewall, we do not monitor the Firewall logs for attacks or attempts against your network.

Unmanaged Firewalls - The customer is responsible for all maintenance involved in managing their Firewall; the Firewall hardware is located on
the customer's premises.

Remote Access Virtual Private Network - a PenTeleData Remote Access Virtual Private Network permits companies to securely connect their
employees to the company network via the Internet using a standard Internet connection (dial-up, cable, dsl, etc.) An individual working from
home can securely communicate through the Internet with their corporate network.

Point-to-Point Virtual Private Network - A PenTeleData Point-To-Point Virtual Private Network permits the secure transfer of information
between multiple shared or public networks. Point-to-Point Virtual Private Networks operate on the network level; As such, they are completely
transparent to the users of the networks. An individual using their corporate LAN can securely communicate through the Internet with another
corporate LAN located anywhere in the world with a PenTeleData Point-to-Point virtual private network.

Network Audit & Vulnerability Analysis - Network Audit & Vulnerability analysis is a systematic review that determines the adequacy of
security measures, identifies security deficiencies, and evaluates the effectiveness of existing and planned safeguards. PenTeleData can provide you
with independent vulnerability assessment and penetration testing services, as well as assist you in developing your own policies and procedures
for in-house periodic assessment.

Network Intrusion Detection - PenTeleData's Network Intrusion Detection Service delivers state-of-the-art network protection by inspecting all
traffic traversing the customer's network 24x7 for signs of attack or misuse of network resources. This monitoring is an essential capability at a
time when networks are susceptible to an increasingly sophisticated array of attacks. In the event of an incident, a managed NIDS customer will be
contacted by our Network Control Center and within minutes will respond to take necessary actions to ensure network integrity.

Host Intrusion Detection - Host Intrusion Detection employs an agent that resides on each host to be monitored. The agent scrutinizes event logs,
critical system files and other auditable resources looking for unauthorized changes or suspicious patterns of activity. PenTeleData can offer
managed or unmanaged solutions. In the event of an intrusion incident, our Network Control Center will respond to take necessary actions to
ensure network integrity.

Intrusion Analysis and Recovery - PenTeleData has been providing investigative and data recovery services to its customers since its inception.
We have worked with law enforcement, private investigative firms, and law firms in the areas of data forensics, due diligence, discovery, and audit.
Whether you have experienced a security incident, are investigating one, or trying to prevent one, PenTeleData can provide the right mix of
resources to satisfy your requirements.

Security Consulting and Training - From the smallest to the largest network, you should take steps to make sure that it is secure from attack or
theft. How you protect the integrity of your network information can be handled aggressively or casually depending upon what you have and how
much you need to protect. If you want to do a good job then there are specific steps that you should take and in a specific order.
