Synergistic Activities
International Journal of Critical Infrastructure Protection: Dr. Shenoi is the founding Editor-in-Chief of
the International Journal of Critical Infrastructure Protection (Elsevier, Amsterdam, The Netherlands).
IFIP Working Group 11.9 on Digital Forensics: Dr. Shenoi serves as the Secretary of IFIP WG 11.9, an
active international community of researchers in the emerging field of digital forensics. He is the Editor-
in-Chief of the annual WG 11.9 book series, Advances in Digital Forensics (Springer, New York).
IFIP Working Group 11.10 on Critical Infrastructure Protection: Dr. Shenoi serves as the Chair of IFIP
WG 11.10, and is the Editor-in-Chief of the new WG 11.10 book series, Critical Infrastructure Protection
(Springer, New York).
FBI Advisory Board: Dr. Shenoi is the Co-Chair of the RCFL National Steering Committee, which advises
the FBI leadership on technical and policy issues related to digital forensics.
NSF ATE Regional Center: Dr. Shenoi is the Director of the Cyber Security Education Consortium
(CSEC), a highly successful NSF ATE Regional Center. CSEC is focused on building community college
programs in information assurance and forensics, and developing a high-tech workforce in a seven-state
region (AR, CO, KS, MO, OK, TN, TX). Since 2003, CSEC has helped build academic programs at more
than 25 community colleges. CSEC institutions are currently training more than 600 students and several
thousand members of the workforce.
NSF/DoD Cyber Corps Program: Dr. Shenoi is spearheading Tulsa's NSF and DoD efforts, which prepare
students for positions with the the U.S. government and military. The Tulsa program, which currently
incorporates more than 40 students, is one of the largest in the country.
TURC Program: Dr. Shenoi founded this nationally-recognized undergraduate program of academics,
research and service. For his efforts in creating and leading the TURC Program, Dr. Shenoi was named
the 1998-99 U.S. Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation.
