The Bayshore Credit Union
Community Investment Fund
In March, 2008, the members in attendance at the Annual General Meeting voted to create the Bayshore
Credit Union Community Investment Fund. The following is our vision statement for the Fund:
The Bayshore Credit Union Community Investment Fund was created as a tangible reflection of
Bayshore Credit Union's commitment to social responsibility. It is also a reflection of the generosity
of the members of Bayshore and is funded annually from the monies that would otherwise have been
paid to the members as a dividend. The purpose of the fund is to improve the communities, the social
fabric and ultimately, the lives of the citizens of the Quinte Region through the financial support of
community projects.
In order to consider funding requests, the Board of Directors has formed a committee to review the
applications. The committee will receive and review applications for funding and will then make
recommendations to the Board for final approval. In reviewing applications for funding, the committee
will apply the following guidelines and principles:
i. All disbursements from the Fund MUST be spent solely within the Quinte Region
ii. Total disbursements will, as much as possible, reflect the demographics of the Credit
Union
iii. Preference will be given to individual community projects and single funding requests
iv. Recognition of the Credit Union will be a consideration
v. The Fund will not be used to provide operating funds to an organization on either a
current or future year basis
vi. Only applications for funding received on the Funds approved application form will be
considered.
vii. Final approval authority for all applications will reside with the Board of Directors
All individuals and organizations wishing to apply for funds should print off the application and submit it
to any one of the three branches of Bayshore Credit Union. If you have any questions regarding your
application or the Fund in general, please do not hesitate to contact us at 613-966-5550 or e-mail us at
