Tom Bradley
Chairman, MCPS

Tom's career has encompassed most aspects of the business, from guitar and lead
vocals in a 60s band, through management of recording studios, jingle companies and
record labels to leadership of independent and major publishing companies, royalty
collection societies and, currently, his own publishing consultancy Quiet Man Music.
Having qualified as an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management
Accountants in 1972, Tom's first job in the music industry was as Financial Controller for
Sir George Martin's AIR Studios. He then went on to be General Manager of Lord
Michael Levy's Magnet Records, followed by three years with Herb Alpert and Jerry Moss
at A&M Records at the height of their success.

He then joined A&M's publishing arm, Rondor Music, as Senior Director in 1983,
becoming Deputy Chief Executive at MCPS in 1992.

This insight into the world of collection societies proved to be invaluable in his next role
as Deputy Managing Director of EMI Music Publishing, the world's No. 1 Music Publisher.
During his 8 years at EMI, Tom signed writing greats such as Sting, Phil Collins and Guy
Chambers and was actively involved with the renegotiation and exploitation of the work
of key assets such as Robbie Williams, Jamiroquai, Twentieth Century Fox and the
Richard Rodgers estate among others. He also continued to hold positions on all the
major boards of the music publishing industry including a 3-year term as Chairman of
the Music Publishers Association.

In September 2003, Tom left EMI to form his own music publishing consultancy, Quiet
Man Music.

In July 2004, Tom was elected Chairman of MCPS.
